About

Who We Are

We are the church, with a rich heritage and presence in our community for about 160 years. In promoting spiritual growth, we offer active Christian education for all ages. Sunday sermons inspire inner reflection and motivate action to a better relationship with God. We are having amazing engagement in our youth ministry where the focus is on nurturing children to discover how a loving God can have an important place in their lives. Through the children’s message during worship, youth scripture readers, an active Sunday School, youth group, confirmation classes, and bible school we see children engaging early in faith formation. We are a sanctuary of faithful and lifelong friends with intentions to fulfill God’s purpose, spreading his message through love and caring.

Statement of Faith

United Methodists share a common heritage with all Christians. According to our foundational statement of beliefs in The Book of Discipline, we share the following basic affirmations in common with all Christian communities:

God: God, who is one, is revealed in three distinct persons. Read More

Jesus: We believe in the mystery of salvation through Jesus Christ. God became human in Jesus of Nazareth; and his life, death and resurrection demonstrates God’s redeeming love. Read More

The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is God’s present activity in our midst. When we sense God’s leading, God’s challenge, or God’s support or comfort, it’s the Holy Spirit at work. Read More

Human Beings: Genesis 1:27 asserts that we’ve been made in the image of the Creator. Like God we have the capacity to love and care, to communicate, and to create. Read More

The Church: The church is the body of Christ, an extension of Christ’s life and ministry in the world today. Read More
